Peanut Butter and Chocolate

Before the holidays, someone was telling me about a delicious treat that was easy to make:  take two Ritz crackers and make a peanut butter sandwich with them, then dip and coat in chocolate.  I have been making them and I think they are now our new favorite.

From this…

…to this…

Try them…you WILL like them!

  1. Yum! I used to make them without the pnut butter. These sound way better! I’ll be over to get some of those!

Oh, I finally got my email from Stathmore so I’m in! Yeah!

  2. Read the ingredients that are in Ritz and maybe you will find another similar cracker to make your delicious.

  3. You are evil, evil, evil! I made a new thing for Christmas that we are calling Chritmas Crack:
Line a foil-covered jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) with club crackers (or grahams, or Saltines).
Simmer 1/2lb. of butter with 3/4 cup of brown sugar (or 1 cup regular sugar)
Pour over crackers, and sprinkle with chopped nuts (somewhere between 1/2 cup and 1 cup, any kind of nuts)
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven. Can melt choc. chips with 1 T. milk and drizzle over, or simply sprinkle on choc. chips, or omit (we found it too much).
Let cool on foil. Break apart.

    Like I said, CRACK.

  4. Yum!! One of my favorite holiday treats as well…. do you know they can also be made with the tiny, bite-sized PB filled crackers – a lot more labor intensive, but worth the trouble!

  5. Trece, the recipe sounds good…I may have to try that sometime.

  6. Hi Susan, thanks for the tip about the itty bitty peanut butter sandwiches. The big ones sure are GOOD. My husband was crazy about peanut butter balls til he tasted these…now he hasn’t touched a ball all season.
