I should blog today…well, I guess I am…sorta. I haven’t written here since early November. Life just gets so busy during the holidays. I’m still cooking and preparing food for a get together at our house tonight…and cleaning. I’m not going to share much except that, the last day of the year is always a bit poignant for me. I look forward to the opening of a new year, but I grieve a bit about the passing of an old year. It’s my age. I just had a birthday. Actually, I’d love to be 40 again.
But! I do sincerely wish all the readers of my blog a very Blessed new year! Now to get ready for its arrival….
Have a happy New Year Kathy!
Thanks, Kinny…you too!~!!
Have a Happy New Year’s Eve and may the rest of 2012 be fantastic for youxx We are staying in tonight, just the two of us. A few glasses of wine, the tv and the fireworks throught the window and of course we will be warm and dry! Just can’t bear the thought of struggling through the crowds and rain and then waiting for 4 or 5 hours before the f/works start. Earlier than that and there is no room left by the Thames (in London!). Transport is terrible too, thanks to the tube drivers and their need for more money and more time off!!!It is normally the only time of the year l don’t like living in London!
Funnily enough l enjoy being 59..never thought l would..life is strange isn’t it?xxxlynda
Hi Lynda and thanks so much for your thoughts! I also enjoy the glimpse you provided of London on new year’s eve. I think I would do exactly what you are doing under those conditions! Our weather here is so mild at 52.8 degrees…this is very unusual for us this time of year. Maybe you will help me look forward to being age 59…I don’t have much time left as I just turned 57. I think the funny part is how I don’t fee that age on the inside. I’m still me…probably getting more laid back and kooky and fun loving as I age! ( I got a red stripe in my brown hair this year.) Thanks so much for commenting. And a blessed and wonderful new year 2012 to you too!
Happy Birthday Kathy, and Happy New Year! xo
Thanks so much Connie…wishing you a wonderful 2012 too.
Happy New Year Kathy! Yah, I’m closer to 60 than 40.
Judy
Happy New Year and thanks for all the time, talent and patience you put into your site here for all of us to read and enjoy. I have a birthday this month too!
65 and counting. I’ll let you know if this magical age is all that it is cracked up to be. I still feel like I am in my 30’s! Blessings. Sharon El
